Memorial service to be held in case of missing girl The memorial service for missing teen Haley Perkins will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Loomis Brothers Funeral Home. Haley Perkins, 16, was reported missing May 1st. Perkins’ vanishing is unheard of in Prospero, where the crime rates are low. It is suspected she became lost while hiking in the nearby woods. Search parties had been unable to find a trace of the missing girl, although her mother has put out several pleas for her return. Two months later, Haley Perkins has been declared legally dead, as there is little chance of her survival in the woods for this length of time. The Perkins family is holding a public memorial service at the Loomis Brothers Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to remember the 16-year-old, who was beloved by her family and her classmates. Perkins was an inspiration to students at Prospero High School, consistently getting top marks and playing the leads in local drama productions. “It is a shame to see such young talent disappear. We hope for her safe return,” said Alexei Smith, Prospero High’s drama teacher.
