Missing girl miraculously found at own memorial service PROSPERO -- Haley Perkins, 16, was found yesterday outside her own memorial service at Prospero Funeral Home. Perkins had been missing for two months and was presumed dead, until she was found by a visitor to Prospero, Ben Pastor, childhood friend of Perkins. Pastor saw her emerging from the woods and pushed her out of the way of an oncoming car. Perkins was taken to the Prospero Medical Center to have her condition checked out. Information will be updated as it is released. “I just saw her standing in the middle of the road,” Pastor, who is now being lauded as a town hero, said. “I don’t know what she was doing in the woods, but I’m sure anyone would have done the same thing for her.” Pastor lives with his mother in San Diego, California, and is 16. Both were in Prospero to offer support to Christine Perkins, Haley’s mother, during the memorial service. Now, emotional support turns into a joyful reunion with the return of Haley Perkins. It seems Prospero continues to be the town of miracles.
